Northrop Grumman championship game

I was hoping to capture Jer's mood after the game and give a sense of the overall result of the game with this picture. Did it work??

Yay a home run! About time someone hit one for me! Too bad I missed him running around the bases b/c I was too busy trying to take pictures.

Playing around with Picasa

I was playing around with Picasa's collage option (when is it going to be compatible with Mac?? I hate switching laptops back and forth just to use picasa, hrmph) and instead of the usual square grid, I decided to try this multiexposure option. I kind of like it, except Jer's movements were too faded, so overall the picture didn't have a huge effect on the eyes. Oh well. Here is another picture of him eating sand.

AVP Hermosa

John Mayer

Sean Rosenthal/Jake Gibb vs Mark Williams/Stein Metzger

Kevin Wong/Matt Olsen vs John Mayer/Jeff Nygaard

Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP)
Hermosa Beach
June 2008
Guest photoist: Jer

My very first time watching pro volleyball live. So much better than watching on TV. It's very fun and exciting! Man, those guys are TALL and BUFF! Didn't check out any of the women's games though since it got too hot.
Things I learned:
One of the players, Sean Rosenthal has his entourage "Rosie's Raiders" cheering for him, we were guessing that they were fueled by beer. :P
Jake Gibb's nickname is the Big Nasty.
I liked Kevin Wong b/c he's a Bruin. =)
Jeff Nygaard has to play with a shirt on b/c he got skin cancer last year.
The first shot is my favorite. What's yours?

The One Time My Home Team Wins

UCLA vs. Cal
Rose Bowl
October 2005

I was wrong! There was one time that I did go to a game and my team actually won. Hehe, what a crazy game. We had to sneak in with our old IDs, we ended up sitting with some pretty annoying undergrads, and after the game I wanted to cry b/c we had wandered through the makeshift golf course parking lot for nearly an hour and we still couldn't find my car!

But...it was all worth it b/c we won! :) I wish I coulda been there to watch us beat 'SC though. That would have totally made up for all the times I sat through games that we eventually lost.

Teemu!

Teemu Selanne
Kings vs Sharks
2002-2003 season

This was when Teemu was a Shark. Staples Center staff are pretty cool. They let us nosebleed peons all the way down to ice level to take pictures prior to the game.

My friend got bragging rights b/c the Sharks won that night. My home teams never seem to win when I attend! UCLA vs. Oregon, UCLA vs. Oregon State, Dodgers vs Marlins, Padres, Mets, Mariners...etc etc. Anyways, I had to clean up this photo a bit, but it turned out pretty nice for an action shot, yeah? I want to attend more hockey games but 99.9% of my so-cal friends don't like hockey. :(

Anyhoo, it's Stanley Cup time and the Ducks have a 1-0 series lead over the Senators! Good thing I am not attending any games in person or they might lose. :) PS. Teemu is a Duck again!
